Coalition Readiness and Response Coordinator

Montana Hospital Association (MHA) is accepting resumes and letters of interest for a Coalition Readiness and Response Coordinator. The positions will serve as the planning coordinators and plan developer for Montana’s Eastern Regional Healthcare Coalition. Duties will include coordinating the development of preparedness and response planning needs and engaging key stakeholders on the planning process with the goal of an effective and coordinated response among the healthcare system partners.  Key stakeholders include all healthcare organizations, public health, EMS, emergency management and other relevant partners.  Responsible for planning process including; identifying and assessing current plans, identifying planning gaps, developing plans, implementing plans, evaluating plans and plan improvements and revisions.  Each coordinator supports the continuous development of a comprehensive training, exercise, and performance improvement cycle that includes healthcare facilities, EMS, public health and emergency management partners that participate in the Hospital Preparedness Program. Up-to-date knowledge and experience working with Emergency Preparedness, database management software such as Excel or Access. Prior experience in program management, public speaking and planning and organizing professional meetings/conferences desired. These positions will require in-state travel and attendance at some regional/national meetings. Position will be open until filled.  The position will be based in the Montana Eastern region. Salary range $20.30 – $23.88/hr., excellent benefits.

Education Coordinator

Montana Hospital Association (MHA) located in Helena, is accepting applications for a full-time Education and Conference Coordinator. Competitive salary and excellent benefits. Duties include: provide assistance to Director with logistical support to education programs of MHA Academy: planning and administration of conventions, in-person and virtual conferences, meetings, seminars, webinars; contracting with speakers, A/V, decorators, hotels, trade show vendors, entertainers; preparing budgets; marketing; managing registration, trade shows. Other duties include: designing brochures, pamphlets, marketing materials; advertising; and special projects. Must have: ability to work and collaborate in a positive team atmosphere and take pride in helping others; good organization and communication skills; experience using Word, Excel, databases, and desk-top publishing (InDesign and Illustrator preferred). One year certificate from college or technical school and 2-3 years related work experience in event planning and/or project coordination, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary range for this position is $16 – $19/hr.

North Central / South Central AHEC Coordinator

North Central / South Central AHEC Coordinator: Montana Hospital Association (MHA) – Full-time – Provide high-level project coordination and management of AHEC educational and training programs including Pipeline programs (Grades 9-12), CNA training program, Mental and Behavioral Health training programs, and the AHEC Scholars (post-secondary) educational program. The Montana AHEC focuses on the development of a homegrown healthcare workforce committed to serving rural and underserved communities in Montana. We do this by building partnerships to improve the recruitment, education and retention of healthcare professionals.

Duties will include but are not limited to coordinating the development and implementation of training and educational programs, tracking and reporting project activities; maintaining databases and spreadsheets; and building relationships with partners across the state.

Education/Skills required: Bachelor’s degree or AA/AS with equivalent work experience in health related discipline, education, public administration, social/behavioral sciences or other related discipline. Familiarity with healthcare, community organization, higher education, and/or public policy. Experience with working with students, preparing written and oral reports, managing projects and budgets, coordinating committees, and familiarity with grant-funded projects is helpful. This positon will require up to 30% travel – two weeks of travel in the summer required for camp management. The wage for this F/T grant-funded position is $20.00/hour. Excellent benefits.
