MHA Members Coming Together to Advance Health and Healthcare

One of the key findings reflected in MHA’s membership satisfaction survey conducted this year was a desire to provide more opportunities for members to connect with each other.  Additionally, the survey respondents found great value in MHA’s education programs and that networking is essential to sharing challenges and best practices.

Earlier this year, MHA saw one of its most successful Health Summits. With the input of members and MHA program leadership, we have planned an exceptional Montana Healthcare Conference in Billings from September 20-23.  Our convention kicks off on Tuesday afternoon with the annual MHA Ventures Golf Tournament at Eagle Rock Golf Course in Billings. There is still time to register for this event. Participation is free for leadership and staff of MHA member facilities and players of all abilities are welcome.

Some of the conference’s highlights include Wednesday morning’s Critical Access Hospital CEO meeting, followed by our opening keynote, Allison Massari, who will speak on The Power of One – Changing the World One Person at a Time.  At noon the MHA House of Delegates and Member CEO Meeting will take place.  The CEO Meeting will feature a presentation by Clayton Christian, the Commissioner of the office of Higher Education and a panel discussion focused on expanding and strengthening our relationships with the state’s colleges and universities. The day’s events will culminate with the Chairman’s Welcome Reception and Awards Celebration.

On Thursday and Friday, we pick up again with a series of continuing education opportunities and tracks that provide exceptional speakers and impactful presentations.  From advocacy and compliance to finance and clinical improvement, dozens of sessions will provide participants with timely and relevant education to support all role types in our member facilities.  Our conference will also include a closing keynote by Paul Huschilt, who will bring humor, resilience and change to our conversations as we return home that Friday afternoon.

Creating an esprit de corps – a feeling of pride, fellowship and common loyalty shared by the membership – is our goal for the annual conference.  We look forward to seeing you in Billings soon.
