Every year, promising healthcare executives take the helm at many of the rural healthcare facilities in Montana. They come with passion, energy and purpose for serving in some of the state’s most vulnerable communities. Often and within relatively short timeframes, many of these executives move on to other opportunities. The impact of turnover and untimely transitions significantly impacts healthcare systems and the rural communities they serve.

Value Proposition

Developing leaders for Montana’s rural health communities allows for community members to continue to receive the best care, close to home, improve population health outcomes and create healthy communities.

Sustaining Rural Healthcare through Best-in-Class Leadership Solutions for Rural Healthcare Executives

In response to member feedback, the Montana Hospital Association, in partnership with SoundMind Leadership, are bringing leadership solutions to rural healthcare executives across Montana. The program will deliver solutions that are close to home, available consistently over time, and include financial support to access best-in-class growth and development opportunities.
The programming will be a yearlong engagement that includes quarterly in-person leadership symposiums across Montana, supported by monthly 1:1 coaching from coaches certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Focus Areas

Impact Rural Health Leadership is unlike any other trainings available to healthcare leadership. It is part of a culture shift that will build a legacy of support and competency across Montana.
